I can finally tell....

We're on the move!

View from the Kuranda Range Lookout
For 8-years Hubby & I have lived in beautiful Far North Queensland. In fact, we met when we were both working in Port Douglas.  We discovered our families only lived 15-minutes apart from each other on the outskirts of Brisbane.  This certainly made holiday time very easy for us.  However, for the last couple of years each of our trips to home, has involved visiting family in hospital.  On our most recent trip (which was a holiday), we visited several people in Hospital.  So we decided it was time to make the move back to where all our family are!   On the 28th June, we are packing up our home and moving to the Redland Bay area (just south of Brisbane).

So what does this mean for The Happy Crafter?   Well it means lots of exciting changes and now I can't wait to get down there to share all my ideas.   The house we are moving to has a fantastic layout and will allow me to open a shop which can be visited by appointment at this stage.  Unfortunately, unless we win this Tuesdays Lotto, I will still need to work so can not have the shop open all the time.  There is also a great open area which will allow me to run classes.  I will be updating the blog with details of these once we are settled.  There are so many more ideas I have but we must first get settled.

We will miss Cairns and all its beauty.  Now is the perfect time for us to move and to allow The Happy Crafter to grow! It will also mean I am close to some of the Suppliers which means getting goodies much quick.  So watch this space for more information.

Till next time
